Cosmetology

Our basic cosmetology program features design, cutting, coloring, multicultural techniques, makeup, fashion trends, and the art of hairdressing in a three-phase program we call CORE, ADAPTIVE, and CREATIVE.

CORE – Learn the rules! In this introductory course, you'll learn the basics that will let you confidently begin working on guests, and your Learning Leaders will help you blend professional skills with personal development.

ADAPTIVE – Apply the rules! Building on the skills you learned in CORE, this intermediate level teaches the value of time management, retailing, and the art of successful communication.

CREATIVE – Expand the rules! This final phase takes you through advanced hairdressing and chemical work. During your last months and weeks toward graduation, you'll spend your time in high gear, preparing yourself for your future salon career.

Career Opportunities

A multitude of exciting career choices await the professional cosmetologist.
You can design high-fashion hair for the runway, become a celebrity stylist, or work in print photography, television, opera, theater, ballet, or film. As your career progresses, you can become a platform artist, salon or spa manager or owner, educator, manufacturing consultant or artistic director, or retail specialist.

Full-time day and part-time evening programs are available to fit into your lifestyle and schedule. Please contact us for more information.
Our Cosmetology program is 1,250 hours long, as required by the state of Pennsylvania for their licensing exams. Our full-time day program takes approximately 9 months to complete. Our full-time evening/weekend program takes approximately 12 months to complete. Please call us for more details.
